Spring Break Activities

Over Spring Break, the Intercultural Affairs Center hosted a number of events for the students that stayed on campus.

Henna Night

In the Game Room of the Intercultural Affairs Center, SACC, the Southern Asian Culture Club, hosted a Henna Night. Henna is a temporary tattoo that people in South Asia to celebrate special occasions.


Celebrating International Women’s Day

Professor Catherine Gallouet gave a talk in the Game Room of the Intercultural Affairs Center about the Queen of Angola┬áN’Zingha and the legendary reputation that she left for herself. She was a ruler, a soldier and a cannibal. She is a symbol for the strength that women can possess. \

Shabbat 250

On Friday March 7th, in the Vandervort Room, Hillel hosted a dinner called Shabbat 250. More than 225 people came together to celebrate this occasion.


Sankofa presents: Charity Ball

Sanfoka hosted its annual Charity Ball in the Ballroom of the Ramada hotel. Celebrating Black Excellence, their were many performances ranging from poetry readings, to a step team performance, to a dance group. Patty Blue was the keynote speaker and she expressed her thoughts about what Black Excellence meant to her.

Life @ the IC: MCAT’s

Every Tuesday, students come together in the Conference Room to study and practice for the MCAT’s. These are test that are mandatory for Medical School. These review sessions are led by students which allows for a community sentiment.


Life @ the IC: International Game Night

Every Friday at 8 PM, the Intercultural Affairs Center hosted its International Game Night. This is open to everyone and new games are always welcome.
