HEOP Office Welcomes NYC High School Counselors

HEOP director James Burruto and Assistant Director Edith Wormley welcomes High School Counselors from the New York City Area. They were joined by Allison Cohen from Eleanor Roosevelt H.S, Emily Colman from Irvington H.S, and Sharon Holden from the James Baldwin School.

“The HEOP office met with college counselors from James Baldwin, Eleanor Roosevelt and Irvington high schools from the New York City area.  We hope to partner with these schools and their counselors to recruit students for the Higher Education Opportunity Program at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. It is extremely important that we partner high school college counselors in order to create meaningful links to students for our recruitment efforts. This further helps streamline the process and further encourages students and counslers to trust that HWS is heavily invested in their success.”
